Team Noah Runners Give Childhood Cancer Research “A New Hope”

Star Wars™ movies have been an influential part of many lives since their debut in 1977. Our Noah was a huge fan of the franchise, so much so, that we often refer to him by his nickname, Jedi Noah.

So when runDisney announced that Disneyland would host the Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend, Team Noah decided we were all in. We sent two of our most intrepid staffers, Rachel, Team Noah Director, and Molly, Team Noah Inspirer, to greet Star Wars runners and cheer them on along the courses. Prior to the half marathon, Team Noah gathered in the Disneyland Hotel, where Rachel offered thanks to our dedicated runners and played a commemorative video. Rachel even opted to run the 10K with jedis, storm troopers and wookiees. Her strategy was, wisely, to let the wookiees win.

The more compact layout of the Disneyland Parks and Resorts allowed Rachel and Molly to easily meet our runners pre-race, walk to a cheering station along the route, and be there to congratulate them at the finish line. It also allowed many to see our signature “cheerleaders” and yell “Go Team Noah!” whenever they saw one. It’s extremely gratifying to know that even those who weren’t part of our team were supportive of our cause.

Of course, our limitless gratitude goes to our Team Noah runners who participated in Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend. Without your dedication, our progress in funding pediatric cancer research would be lacking. Thank you.
