Junior Board Members Connect for Cancer in Washington, DC

Congratulations to brothers Andrew and Nick Marotta, members of our Junior Board, on their selection to participate in Connect for Cancer in Washington, DC! This leadership conference, organized by pediatric cancer advocate Beth Anne Baber, founder of The Nicholas Conor Institute, taught young adults to advocate for pediatric cancer research funding and included visits to congressional offices on Capitol Hill.

Andrew and Nick’s friendship with Noah inspired them to become founding members of our Junior Board, a group of teens who raise awareness on behalf of our organization. It is their experience with Noah’s Light Foundation that qualified them for acceptance into the Connect for Cancer program. On August 3, they attended classes to learn about leadership skills and advocacy. The program continued on August 4, when they visited Capitol Hill and met with congressional staffers to put their newly learned skills to use.

Please check our social media accounts for photos posted August 4, we shared their pictures of events as they happened.
