NLF Pairs With Orange Lake Resorts for a Successful September Event
President Obama proclaimed September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, as a hopeful motion toward ensuring children receive the care they need and minimizing the financial burdens that come with the disease. Cancer research has come leaps and bound over the last few decades, but we cannot stop until a cure is found. Dedicating September to Childhood Cancer Awareness will help us further the future of cancer research.
Tom Nelson, Noah’s Light board member and President of Orange Lake Resorts, went above and beyond to support our organization this September. The charity collaborated with Yari Payne and the Communications Relations Team at Orange Lake, and came up with Noah’s deLIGHTful Treats – employees at the Resorts could order a treat-filled box by donating to Noah’s Light.
Orange Lake worked tirelessly and exceeded expectations to get most items in the treat boxes donated, resulting in a greater impact for our mission! Together, Holiday Inn employees raised a grand total of $13,220, and we cannot thank them enough. This generous fundraising effort will have an enormous impact on our foundation, and therefore the future of childhood cancer research. We are excited about the countless new supporters we gained, who have eagerly learned about, and now support, our goal of finding a cure for pediatric cancer. After such a successful collaboration, Noah’s Light Foundation readily awaits our next venture with Holiday Inn Club Vacations.
