A “GIFT” for Families Dealing with Pediatric Cancer
Of all the difficult realities of caring for a child with cancer, one that many don’t think about is travel to receive medical care. Most often, if a child is in a position where they have little hope for survival, Phase I medical trial treatment is offered as a last effort. However, Phase I trials are rarely in the patient’s backyard and families take on the burden of traveling to faraway cities for these treatments.
Noah’s Light Foundation has begun a program, Noah’s GIFTS (Giving Initiative For Treatment Support), to assist these families in their quest to save their children. With the generous support of a donor, our Foundation is covering 80% of the families’ travel expenses, such as transportation, hotel stays, food and other necessities.
If you know a family who is in need of support for Phase I, immune based only, treatment for their child’s cancer, please refer them to this site. https://www.noahslightfoundation.org/for-families/noahs-gifts/
