President Obama deemed September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, raising awareness and funds in hope of a brighter future for children diagnosed with the disease. Noah’s Light Foundation teamed up with Tom Nelson and Orange Lake Resorts for a group fundraising effort, resulting in a generous donation and a very successful September. For the inaugural Star Wars™ Half Marathon – The Dark Side at Walt Disney World®, we were fortunate to be chosen as the celebratory charity. To greet the runners and wish them well for each race, Amber spoke, then introduced this video featuring James Arnold Taylor, voice actor for the Star Wars™ the Clone Wars animated series.

In early 2015, Amber was featured on Orlando’s local Channel 13 as an Everyday Hero. She told the story of Noah’s brain cancer journey and how, in his memory, she delved into the world of immune based therapy and her persistence in funding promising research so that no child could be lost to cancer again.
