Another remarkable weekend with Team Noah!
Another remarkable Team Noah success this weekend with the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon presented by MISFIT™! Team Noah runners continue to astound us, with their dedication to fundraising and commitment to our mission of finding a cure. Whether it was the 10K, half, or Lumiere’s Challenge, every race participant gave 110% on and off the course. Months of fundraising and training led up to this event, and our team loved spending time with these runners; we want Team Noah participants (past, present, and future) to understand they are running for something bigger themselves, or even our organization. The finish line they crossed marks one step closer to finding a cure for childhood cancer.
On Saturday, everyone gathered at Epcot®, dark and early, decked out in bright green and ready to run the 10K. Saturday late morning, participants were invited to Disney’s Contemporary Resort for a brunch event with some surprise sweet treats, and a thank-you from our organization. The runners were back at it Sunday morning for the half marathon – some of our runners ran both races, earning special recognition for completing Lumiere’s Challenge. After they crossed the finish line, the Team took photos, drank a ton of gatorade, and celebrated the uncomparable victory of completing a race.
We also want to thank our amazing volunteers for volun-cheering all weekend. From the family members of our runners, FedEx Cares volunteers, and West Orange NHS students – they really made the experience special.
Team Noah had a total of 58 dedicated runners, raising both dollars and awareness for our mission. The results of their individual fundraising efforts was nothing short of impressive, and for that we would like to say a massive thank you to the friends and family of our participants, for without you these numbers would not be a reality; and to all of our Team Noah runners, you never cease to impress us. A big THANK YOU to you, and we hope you run with us again!
