Evans Blue Begins Partnership to Fight Pediatric Brain Cancer
Heavy hitting alternative rock band, Evans Blue, officially began our partnership with a local show, at Club 57 West, on August 3rd. The turn out was amazing!
This is the first of many shows to come that the band will raise awareness for our mission.
They are truly passionate about raising money for pediatric brain cancer. Lead singer, Dan Chandler, lost his nephew, Chase Franklin.
The song “Erase My Scars” comes directly from an experience that I had almost six years ago which continues to haunt me to this day. The video was shot and directed by Adrian Picardi and produced by Eric Ro of Northern Five Entertainment, in an attempt to capture the emotion felt during this time of agony. My nephew Chase Franklin was diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma, which is a form of brain cancer. He was diagnosed at six years old and lost his battle just before he turned nine. ….
This was the most life-changing experience I’ve ever encountered. The impact that it had on our family was extremely devastating. These kinds of tragedies happen every day and affect so many lives, that even in the darkest hours, we need to step up and do everything we can to help people fight these battles. We started the foundation “Keeping Chase” with the hope of making a positive difference and helping to support people and their families affected by these kinds of tragedies. ….
When you know someone who is battling cancer, it’s not hard to see how weakening this disease can be. But through this experience, I’ve come to find that these are the strongest people I’ve ever encountered.
– Dan Chandler
Thank you Dan, Evans Blue and Sounds & Sights Management! You are the light!
