G-OIL and Noah’s Light Race at Daytona
Noah’s Light Foundation would like to extend our gratitude to G-OIL for sharing their sponsorship of Tayler Malsam’s #19 Toyota in the Subway Jalapeno 250 Powered by Coca-Cola NASCAR Nationwide Series race at the Daytona International Speedway. The hood of Tayler’s car was emblazoned with the Noah’s Light logo for the duration of the race.
Tayler, who at 23 is an up-and-coming driver of the NASCAR circuit. His love for competition has rocketed him through various levels of competitive driving to the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Tayler helped G-OIL make history by driving the first car in NASCAR history to be powered by Ultimate Biodegradable and BioPreferred (R) Full Synthetic motor oil in a race.
This year’s race was especially competitive. There were 42 lead changes which set a new track record. Tayler qualified for the 22 spot on the track and moved up to the tenth spot at one point. He finished 15th overall while managing to avoid several accidents that happened throughout the race. But he had a lot of serious competition, including Danica Patrick, Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick. Ultimately, Kurt Busch took the lead and kept it, taking the checkered flag.
Amber and Dennis Larkin were invited into the pit to view the race from an advantageous location. Amber commented on the race, “Watching from the pit was such an amazing experience. Noah was there with us in spirit as we cheered on Tayler’s progress. From the sounds of the race to the passion of the racing team, we were inspired to carry our efforts forward.”
Partnerships with organizations such as G-OIL, whose mission is to make the earth healthier by producing “clean & green” lubricants and cleaning products, are a fundamental part of our efforts to fund new research in the field of pediatric oncology. Again, we’d like to thank them for honoring Noah by shining the light on pediatric brain cancer.
